Disney Heroes: Battle Mode Wiki
Patch Upgrade Screen

A Hero's core stats being increased via Patching.

Patch is a gameplay mechanic in Disney Heroes: Battle Mode introduced in version 4.4.10. It is a way to further enhance a Hero's attack power by using a currency known as Patch Essence to increase the Hero's Patch Level. This feature becomes available to Heroes once they reach the rank of Red +10 or higher, though this only applies to Heroes who have been featured in a Franchise Trial.

Each time a Hero's Patch Level is raised, their Core Stats are buffed and they unlock new abilities called Patch Talents that improve the Hero's viability in various ways. Additionally, each time you increase enough Heroes' Patch Levels, it also raises your total Patch Power, which is a multiplier that further increases the stat bonuses of every Hero that has been Patched, and also increases the maximum Patch Level your Heroes can attain.

Franchise Trials[]

Franchise Trials are special Team Trial events that serve as the source of Patch Essence. Each Franchise Trial must be completed using only Heroes from the specified franchise (for instance, the Zootopia Trial can only be completed using Zootopia characters); after making enough progress in the Franchise Trials, you earn Patch Essence to be spent on Patching any Hero that has been featured in a Franchise Trial.

Over the course of time periods known as Seasons, which last for roughly one month, a select few franchises are represented in Franchise Trials; at the start of each new Season, a new set of franchises are featured. Heroes that were already featured in a Franchise Trial will still remain Patchable forever.
